The Turkey Trot in Georgia … get over it Johnny Reb

We were attracted to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Tennessee and Georgia. The idyllic retreat was perfect for a family reunion on Thanksgiving. The local attractions included an old train ride that meandered through both States, the mountains, and streams. The sunsets were perfect for meditation and hand holding. Be sure to watch the video below.

We signed up for the local charity Turkey Trot and fun run. How much fun can you have in freezing weather wearing shorts and a sweat shirt at 7:00 am after a night of celebration? We walked the AT, the Appalachian Trail for four miles from the trail head.

We made the most of it; our band of mischief makers from Denver, Chicago, St. Pete and Ohio.

The local police pulled us over and somehow we passed the breathalyzer test. Thanks Johnny.

Thanksgiving.
